Meet our psychologistsQuestions, gently answered
A few things people often wonder before a first session.
How long is a session?
Most individual therapy sessions last 50 minutes. We also offer shorter 30-minute sessions — ideal for a brief check-in — which you can book directly on the website. All sessions are held online over secure video, at a time that suits you.
What if my psychologist isn’t the right fit?
Finding the right person matters, and you’re never tied to one psychologist — you’re welcome to try someone else whenever you wish. A free 15-minute consultation, or our complimentary matching service, can help you feel confident before you begin.
Is what I share confidential?
Yes. Your sessions are private and confidential, in line with our client confidentiality policy. As with all therapy, there are rare limits where there may be a risk of serious harm — your psychologist will always handle these gently and openly.
How do payment and insurance work?
Sessions are pay-as-you-go at £120 per 50-minute session, with no package to commit to. We bill Allianz, Aviva, AXA, Bupa, Cigna, Healix and Tiecare directly, so there’s nothing for you to claim back. If your insurer isn’t on that list, do get in touch — we may be able to register with them on your behalf.
What do I need for an online session?
Sessions take place over Zoom. We’ll send a secure meeting link ahead of your appointment — if you don’t already have Zoom, you can download the free app in a couple of minutes, or join straight from your web browser. Beyond that, just a quiet, private space and a device with a camera and an internet connection.
Can I book a same-day session?
Often, yes. Sessions run throughout the week, and same-day appointments can usually be booked subject to your psychologist’s availability.
Not sure where to begin?
Let us help you find your therapist
If you’re unsure what steps to take next, our complimentary therapist matching services offer recommendations about which psychologist and service best suit your needs, preferences and availability.
